About: Darrell Teat
Darrell Teat is a seasoned executive, with deep experience in corporate strategy, new business creation and institutional capital raising. Having served as the President & CEO of national for-profit and non-profit companies, Darrell has led the national expansion of several initiatives within the financial services and real estate development sectors that have produced significant bottom-line results and above-market returns for investors.
Darrell has advised several companies across multiple industries in their pursuits to diversify revenue streams, create and launch new business lines and formulate strategic partnerships.
Appointed by the California Insurance Commissioner, Darrell currently serves as the Board Chairman of the California Department of Insurance – California Organized Investment Network Advisory Board (COIN). Darrell also serves on the Executive Committee of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and as a Board Director of the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy.
Darrell is a recipient of the National Basketball Association (NBA) – Dream Big All Star Award, American Diabetes Association – Father of the Year Award, Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce – Al Gieger Award, and Sacramento Business Journal – 40 Under 40 Award.
Darrell earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Santa Clara University, where he was Captain of the Men’s Basketball Team. Darrell also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Drexel University, LeBow College of Business.
